What's so special about a ninja? Ninja hoops fold into 4 pieces, connected by a bungee cord. They can be carried across the back with a yoga-mat strap, or attached to a bag. They are available in the same colours, sizes, and tubings as solid hoops. ![]() Monica demonstrates how to collapse a ninja hoop. Sure, they're nice to have around. They let you sneak up on
people and kill them with mad hooping skills... but do you need one? Good reasons to get a ninja hoop: - You fly. Ninjas can be carried onto the plane with you, and depending on your attendant, may not even count as a piece of luggage. - You bike, often or fast. You can bike with a solid hoop, just throw it diagonally across your body. If you're biking long distances, often, aggressively or fast, you'll appreciate being able to get the hoop out of the way and on your back - You ride in crowded cars. Solid hoops can be shoved into back, into larger trunks (like in taxis), or can sit in front of back-seat riders. On road trips with a full car, it's much easier to pack a ninja. - You like to be discreet. Ninjas can fit into yoga mat bags, and no one will know it's a hoop, great for avoiding unnecessary questions at work. - You will carry a hoop all day. Ninjas are more comfortable to have around for all-day adventures, especially in crowds or in stores. - You just want one You do not need a ninja hoop if: - You just want a hoop at home/cottage to get started. - You're going to go from your home to where you're hooping, with maybe a stop or two between. - You have a car, ride the subway, walk, or bike leisurely. - You think you'll want to change sizes once you get more comfortable. - You're planning to scuff up your first hoop and get a prettier, fancier one later. - You want a water hoop. Do they feel different? Nope! Ninja hoops feel just like solid hoops and they stay together when you're hooping. After a while, the bungee cord may stretch out, and the hoop may come apart during high-impact tricks, like knee hooping. If this happens, the bungee can be tightened or replaced. I am happy to do either, or to send you instructions for how to do it on your own. If you find the hoop coming apart and want it fixed immediately, put one wrap of tape around each joint. |
